[1657] Deed Book 00,p. 201, Edgecombe Co., NC: William Lasiter deed of gift to his son, William Lasiter, 24 Feb.1761 for good will he bore his son, a tract of 640 acres on north side of Tar River, it beingthe land which formerly belonged to Thomas Lasiter, dec'd. Deed Book C, p.446: William Lassiter Senr. of Edgecombe Co. to William Lassiter Jr. 8 Nov. 1767, for love & affection & 5 lb. sterling, 200 acre plantation whereon sd. William then dwelled with all its appurtenances. Witnessed by Edw'd Moore, Nathan Hamton, Ed Sherrod.
